Overview

Teksouth Corporation is currently looking for Microsoft Desktop Tools Developer for Pearl Harbor, HI. These positions will be onsite in the Pearl Harbor area and will require an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Microsoft Desktop Developer responsible for integrating and automating multiple sources of Accounting and Financial data using the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

  • Identifies possible data sources to integrate using current and past legacy systems

  • Converts all data sources to interface/link with Microsoft Access and/or Excel

  • Integrates all data sources into one or multiple tables in a customized analytical format using MS Access

  • Links MS Access data sources to MS Excel Pivot Tables for multiple users Creates ad hoc and canned reports

  • Creates advanced charts in excel

  • Develop VBA code in MS Office to automate data collection and integration processes

  • Lead/Conduct training classes on integrations/reporting tools

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Financial MGT/budget experience with Navy Finance is highly desired. Knowledge or experience with DON Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) is very nice to have.

  • Must be skilled in MS Access and MS Excel

  • Must know how to link data between Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Must have a basic understanding of Visual Basic for Applications

  • Must have a basic understanding of SQL

  • Must be proficient in other Microsoft Office applications – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint

  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills. The ability to communicate to analysts and senior leaders (Colonels, Generals, and Executives)

  • Possesses basic understanding of the DOD environment and Financial Management and Accounting processes and procedures.

  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a large organization, managing diverse tasks, requirements and commitments.

Five (5) years of government/military accounting experience.

Government/Military Acquisition

Five (5) years of government/military acquisition experience, at a minimum utilizing the Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card and Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP).

Disparate DoD Financial Systems

Seven (7) years integrating disparate DoD financial systems.

Information Technology

Expert experience in Microsoft Office software suite

Information Technology

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and five (5) years relevant experience or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and two (2) years of relevant experience, or eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in computer science or developing and managing a data collection tool or similar database application.
